Don't worry about it man. I have a 91 Savage and it
always makes this "Shiiiiizzz" starter-like-sound when it shuts down, sometimes hard, sometimes soft.
I experience NO problems, and it seems to be quite normal.
The only thing I have problems with is changing gears. It seems to be a rude thing on my savage, with lotsa rattle sometimes, is it normal?
REMEMBER: Never overfill your savage (like my garage did a few months ago) it'll cause some nasty leaks.
Anyways, don't worry about the starter sound dude, it's quite okay! :)
